Brave Speak™ Level II: Product You
Feb 1 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm PST
Like any product, Product You is about building, testing, refining, and ultimately launching yourself into the world in the most powerful, confident, and authentic way. Just as product development involves feedback and iteration, your journey will do the same. It’s about knowing your value, leveraging your skills, and communicating with clarity so you are recognized, have impact, get promoted and pursue the career you desire.
Product You is the voice of your technical expertise. It’s not enough to be the expert who works behind a closed door, head down and focused solely on the task at hand. Rather than speaking details focused on imparting information, practice communicating only relevant ideas targeted at a specific audience. Shift from an individual contributor mindset and take on the Product You mentality. Develop the confidence to speak up and take charge of your career. You define your journey—not the organization. How you show up—whether one-on-one or in public, whether speaking to management or peers across functions—directly impacts how others see your value.
Confidence is built from the inside out. It’s about knowing what you bring to the table and having the courage to express it and promote it. Through this course, you’ll gain the requisite skills and experience to make your confidence real and believable to you. This is where the magic happens: when you know you are ready, and you feel confident to stand tall in any setting, whether virtual or in person. Imagine yourself sitting or standing in front others—in a state of self-trust—Product Ready—to confidently exchange ideas with anyone. Product You—prove it to yourself.
No successful product is launched without testing and iteration. We are no different. We are brave. We try. We fall short. We try again. Product You takes an agile approach, learning quickly, getting feedback, and continuously refining until we reach your best self. In low-stakes settings in class, you’ll start testing and iterating your communication, then scale up at your own pace at work. Move from being a spoke in the wheel of someone else’s ideas to becoming the creator of your own product—Product You.
It’s time to move beyond being a task-driven individual contributor. While completing tasks and delivering results are important, these roles often leave you unnoticed, working in the background. Product You is about becoming a valued, visible contributor—someone who speaks up because they know their ideas are worth sharing and that others across the organization want to hear them.
Product You is about being vocal when needed and seizing opportunities to contribute, even when your ideas aren’t perfectly formulated. It’s about being ready to engage and speak clearly, with impact, at any moment. And ultimately, it’s about being seen as the visible expert—the one others look to for solutions and insights.
Together, let’s do that. Let’s make you seen, heard, and respected for who you truly are.
